The threads are for socializing. Do you know gosupermodel? If you do, then the concept is the same. It's a dress-up game where you'll socialize with the different users in all sorts of ways.

Yes it did, unfortunately.
You can write private messages as well, you'll find a box where it says 'send private message' in an account's profile right below the model.
Or you can comment on guestbooks and blogs too. Both of which can be found in an account's profile.
