i never had any trouble playing it as like a direct download (??) but i think last time i tried to update i didnt have space on my puter and i wasnt smart enough to figure out how to move all the game-stuff to my D: disk so i uninstalled the whole thing n when reinstalling i chose steam cause i thoguth that would be smart....... but ive been trying to launch game 4 times nowø.........
