Yeah that might be my quick learning and the affinity I have for linguistics, but definitely a language in the same tree as your native would be easier
As someone who learned 3 languages and now learning a forth one, I whole heartily believe that it is possible and always push ppl to study languages
knowledge is power and languages is one of the best things you can learn to communicate with as many people around us as possible

i love language and language löearning, sadly i have little like motivation and insentive + real world application for another language which both makes it harder to learn from day to day use and to stay up to date with it, but absolutely with some dedication its doable and probably not even technically that hard??? its just about really commiting to it...
