my true opinion is that people can change, of course, their views. but when you help mobilize people into harming and killing people from other minority communities, when you say that the lives lost because of gun violence are "unfortunately worth it" in order to protect the 2nd amendment, etc. you do not get to have empathy from me or from people who are directly affected by these things. the same empathy these people gave that democrat congresswoman (if I'm not mistaken) and her husband, who were shot just a few months back, and no one gave their condolences for their death, is the empathy they now want people to have for them?
kirk's death won't change anything, it will only be used as some martyr being murdered by the evil left and that's all they care about. not the children who get shot in the head, neck or heart in school shootings. not gang violence. not the millions of families who are murdered by other family members, especially in the context of domestic violence. none of them.Â
I don't see anyone asking to hold empathy for them. these people didn't have the choice to sit at some college campus debating whether or not someone else's life was worth to take in order to protect people who want to buy a gun in fucking Walmart, or debating whether your existence is allowed because you're trans, or you're gay, etc.Â
so no, I don't give a fuck about him dying. it is tragic, because all gun violence is tragic, but I won't share a single thought, prayer or shed any tear for a man who has justified this publicly, knowing how many people follow him.
