i think i'd also add the sadness that comes from the death of overall similar games. we already have lost other big games like club penguin, and other games that are purely for dressing up, since the end of flash. i have lost a lot of interest in games in general because of the lack of actual fun games, you know? i try to play other games like fortnite or valorant, but to me, nothing can compete with how much fun i had when i was younger and was able to spend hours dressing up pixel dolls lol
yes, motivation is extremely important. lets also have in mind that not only does vp depend on the few designers that are left, but also these designers are mostly also adults who have real life things that happen everyday, and they cannot be expected to put everything aside in order to give us more items. i also wish more people would talk in the forums (me included), but i think we just lack the same energy we used to have :-(
i completely understand you.. i really do think these online games are becoming a thing from the past and it's a bit unfortunate. like truly es/gsm/vp are the last ones standing and i'm sure it won't be long before the other two also give out tbhhh
exactly..... i somehow think vp needed a more teenage audience but at the same time it would be really burdernsome on adults who want to have more adult discussions sbhnjesbhe.... but yeah. personally even though i do have fun trying to make some activity happen here, i always end up feeling like i'm wasting my time idunno...
oh yes, the issue regarding whether or not to cater to a younger audience. i mean, if we think about it, a lot of us did come to VP as youngsters, so I think it's a bit hypocritical from us to judge whether or not a younger teen comes here (i've actually been against this before, so i am calling myself out for my hypocrisy <'3), but then again, adults also deserve a space where they can both express themselves freely and also deserve a space to play... dress up games.
maybe we could compromise a bit, but im not sure many would agree on that. i think that has been debated before, as far as i can remember though
yeah and i think this is a big issue on other platforms too.... ideally some kind of separation between both would be nice but realistically speaking, if i were to be separated from the vp adults when i was a teenager i'd have been really annoyed
