one time and back then i didnt like it, and i cannot stand the smell of it which i think plays a big part...... when my mom prepares pinnekjøtt the house basically smells of death and decay idk its not very appetittelig  also prevoius experiences w lamb n sheep has been mediocre

we used to have ribbe but it's like it's not anything either of us particularly enjoy and because my aunt and her family celebrated new years with us for a few years so we had to change the tradition of pinnekjøtt then to turkey because my aunt doesn't eat pinnekjøtt we changed to eating pinnekjøtt on christmas and basically abandoning ribbe completely 
(plus i pointed out like why do we have ribbe if no one wants it)

i dont think we have any significant food traditions for new years but i havent eaten at my moms for the last 5 or 6 yrs so i honestly dont remember but i think its been anything really, like mayb a repeat ribbe n then one year we did catering n i know we've done turkey once mayb twice but other than that???? i cant think of aything but now that i think abt it i cant remember a single new years eve from before like 2013 mayb... hmm

kind of fits what surveys show in norway that new years is very like oh well whatever let's eat whatever
last year my dad and i ate steak because yeah idk and one time we had dåhjort or whatever???
