but thats what i said nobody responds in other threads when you make new threads its been that way for like a year now. why would i make a thread when i know maybe ill get two responses entirely. i tried for a long time to keep the rest of the forum active and it just like failed. hi is the only thread that gets responses. 
i rly think that's on the 5 people constantly complaining about hi and not feeling welcome here and not the five people regularly typing in hi tbh

the only thing hi "prevents" is the derailing that sometimes happens in threads otherwise forums have been stale for ages. n id rather have a place to chat every day than wait for the weekly derail.

i don't think that's necessarily true, depends what the threads are about really 
agreed. for example my cat thread was very succesful i have so many cats to give to people.
