marianne, do you know anything abt like. how fast a gynocologist can diagnose pcos?? cause i have my appointment on monday, and idk if it'll be a "yup you have it" or wait a few fucking weeks or months and we'll let you know kinda deal
oooo its been so long since i got diagnosis i was 15 i think and now 28
but if i remember correctly it started with me going to fastlege and said "i think i have pcos" bc my mom suspected it, fastlege sent me to gyno and did some bloodwork, gyno did internal ultrasound and found cysts (but remember its pmos not pcos so cysts are not necessarily part of the diagnosis!! i think its something like 'if u have 2 out of 3 symptoms" and the symptoms are absent/irregular period, high androgens and cysts on ovaries' (but i dont know if they changed that diagnosis criteria when they also changed the name)) but then special for me that they dont usually do is they also sent me to hospital to get MR scanning of ovaries hmmmm but i think they can usually set the diagnosis pretty fast?? especially if u have cysts on ovaries during gyno appointment but yea idk !!
Ooo okay i see i see… cause its been like 7 years since i last were so i domt remember if there were cysts then or not.. i dont think so but, that mightve changed obviously.. cause the main reason as far a sim told they only suspected it and not said it was it was bc at that time i had regular periods?
