I think mine took a year and it still can get easily infected if you dont clean it regularly (ive had one for 13 years now)

i'm impressed u still have it, mine didn't heal for a 1,5 years nd eventually i just gave up bc i was going on vacation nd didn't wanna risk it getting infected by the pool/ocean lol
