security is expensive and hiring people who know what they're doing is expensive. many people in IT do not want to practice basic security functionality. however, it is more expensive to recover from a breach.

us cybersecurity professionals have to be right ALL the time, and it is continuous. but an attacker only needs to be right once

many small companies and sites do not have necessary funding for security. but SSL is not expensive or difficult to implement. it is secure coding 101
