I hope I do... I am looking through the new law atm, and people say GDPR is hard to understand and go through, but this is an entirely new level of complicated. Most EU laws have a small "dictionary" in the start to help you understand what specific buzzwords mean in the context of the law. GDPR has 28 words/phrases in the small dictionary, while the AI act has 68 in its current draft form and looking through them I'm just like ?? what the actual fuck.

My favorite is deep fake, which now has a legal definition of "AI-generated or manipulated image, audio or video content that resembles existing persons, objects, places or other entities or events and would falsely appear to a person to be authentic or truthful"

And if it doesn't work you just have to keep trying ! then it usually gives jackpot

deep fake is a disturbing thing and I do not know how other people aren't more concerned about it but then again I did all that I could to protect myself from this thing, even if it means having only to go out and being unable to access things via only internet

Seeing that they've been trying to make this law since at least 2020, I think the time it's taken is part of the reason it's become this complicated. I'm crying though.

Deep fakes are very concerning! The new AI law must say something on the subject, but I've not hit that point yet. I hope it's forbidden. We just had some political parties who's made deep fake videos of our prime minister as part of their political campaign against her and her party, and they don't understand why people have critiqued that decision
