i’m pairing English transcripts with their Serbian translated equivalent for ParCoLab !! it’s a sort of huge database for ? I honestly don’t understand it fully myself

last semester I got to translate serbian movies to english and sync the subs, this semester we’re working on syncing comics (Asterix and Obelix currently, Lucky Luke in june)

it’s an extracurricular that takes up way too much of my time but it’s fun not gonna lie
oh wow!
that sounds rlly rlly fun I wouldn't have said no to doing that myself 
hearing you talk about it more n more makes me think I should go be a sworn translator

I’d like to try working as a translator as well but no one takes you seriously in that field without a degree here so 👍 let’s hope I find a good opportunity once I’m done with uni

yeah I feel like it is the case a lot of times unless you are certified in something? I am a certified museum and tour guide so people did take me somewhat more seriously? but def would be better with a degree
