oh my god 40 sims in a household poor u... but yes playing ts3 is a full time job  i'm glad it's not like ts2 where the memories matter a lot so i could technically just start the 4th generation in a completely new save yes... 
it was so stressful bro i knew that shit could just explode at any moment.. i split them up so fast when i moved them into the new save
now after i experienced crashing after playing again in years i am jsut saving every 30 minutes staring at the screen hard making sure it's not the infinite loading screen..

I DO i've been through all the steps..  nraas master controller, nraas overwatch, smooth patch...... although it's honestly a miracle that ts3 even opens on my current computer, the graphics card is not at all made for it... i experienced weirder issues with ts2 and ts4 halp. but yes i also am very used to the immense lag that ts3 comes with, it's part of the charm atp... my only true fear is the crashing and save errors yes
