i've had that one for years but yeah i don't think i'll ever read it
ppl said it was so sad, but now there are a lot more of people just realizing it is also just bad
unless that's the type of book x people love (which is not me)

but yeah if u gotta read 700 pages of buildup only for the final climax of it to make it good....... there are bad news here. like i truly hope u enjoy the plot before that point, or like at least at the midpoint from a structural pov

do we know which story arc a little life have? is is a tragedy, hero's journey, etc.? bc if it is a tragedy the climax would be at the midpoint before everything goes downhill from there. but it's literary so i guess it can be anything as long as it is sufficient in tone. anyways, i barely got through My Dark Vanessa and it's 300-400 pages. Imagine reading about someones abuse recovery struggles for 700 pages. I'd be in a bad spot by then. i feel like if i wanted this reality, i'd just go read science articles, information sheets or biographies instead.
