one time my pic didn't get approved and it was of a cat, i was like wtf? i waited a long time for this.
omg hhaha I'm pretty sure we mods got activity points for that, so I guess some people used it as a way to get more activity points
We've been played.
There's a lot we got activity points for, which some mods ended up cheating with. So the workload was really not equally taken care of.

I once sat and answered about 1500 mails in the mod inbox during one week, while some people just went to competitions and deleted entries, or like to the end of the forum categories and deleted threads, even though they get deleted automatically, lol. so some people you litterary never saw in the mod inbox, and still got at least 100+ activity points, haha

but yeah, they didn't really enforce the activity points until we got a mod inbox, because that was when you actually started seeing who pretty much didn't do anything. At least not on the Swedish site. idk what it was like on the other sites, but eventually they started posting the activity points we had managed to gather on a weekly(or mothyly???) basis, and also put like a minimum of what we should have.

some people didn't do shit, and I guess I was one of them before I quit, hahah (but there was a time when I did a lot, also)

well, when I became mod on the swedish site you basically had to be friends with the mods to be able to become one (They had a thread in the mod club where they basically posted suggestions for people who could become one) but I was the last one hwo became it that way, lol. after that they did the comps, applications and boot camp.

hahah yeah, we weren't actually allowed to talk about it, but I mean, since the site doesn't actually exist anymore (and all the shitwork I did was almost for free) I don't see the point in keeping it a secret anymore. A lot of shady things happened there. and there was a lot more drama behind the scene than what the "regular" users could ever imagine, hahah. I have sooooo many stories.

Still though, it was fun being a mod, and the first admin of the Site, was super nice and cute, and so were the last three, so they don't actually deserve any shit. (but people inbetween that... and just like... people... well ahhaha)

omg I hated getting mails about this because 99% of the time restarting your computer or redownloading/upgrading the flash player worked.

Honestly, I remember so much drama from gSm. Hacking people, scamming others, extreme feminists and just kids in general. It wasn't a bad experience but I was around 9-13 when I used to ''play'' gSm to be honest.

I liked dressing up my character though, was fun.
Like when I was 12 and made a character named "simon_finnar" (pimples) (simon was one of the mods, I believe that was his name) and said he had broken his legs and I got banned for a year, and my friend was in a skype call with him and other mods and he said he was gonna report me to the police lol

I have like 40 old sent mails to the gsm email and begging them to remove the ban

On swedish gsm

Lol, I remember when I entered someones room and I could literally CHANGE everything (I think it was a bug) so I just placed all the furniture all around the floor and then suddenly she went in xd

I also remember when the Admin was in her room and everyone from gsm gathered crowded in there hahah

I think it's quite interesting to hear about these sort of things now when it doesn't exist anymore. I never would have realized this, even though I'm not sure if the situation was the same on the Norwegian version.
