but yeh people want a kitten usually, the shelter page has a bunch of adults and senior cats that never seem to leave so I’ve contemplated taking in one of the seniors but I’m really tempted by the lil Maine coins waä

i would do the same thing if i were you.
i always look out for the cats in our little town. we got a fb page where we post about cats we are concerned about. and most of the time it's just a cat who is lost, or just overly friendly, or cold and wants to be let in at the nearest door.

wait let the mom back out? will she live keep being a stray cat?🥺

My school was in a village and it's a boarding school, many cats and a lot of kids mistreated them so I told myself I have to try and find homes to the kittens and help the adult cats
I even adopted my second cat from there that is now living with my mom, Elliot
awww, I love hearing about such cases, it's good to be vigilant and offer help if you can and it's needed.

Yep! she is an adult cat that was always an outdoors cat, and she belongs to someone else so we can't just take her sadly, even if she is the mother of all 4 of our babies, she's a strong little cat, she might be a dwarf but she is healthy and prefers to be outside (she IS used to people but not like an indoor cat, and only to my mother in law and her owner)

ugh i can't stand hearing cats being mistreated.
i hate how they are lower in status than dogs, and not seen as equally important
up until a few years ago. you could get kittens for 100kr or as low as free. now it's a law to not sell them for less than 1000kr. and all cats needs to be shipped and registerd. love that change

woah that's odd. so she's owned.. but mostly out. and not until now, by your help, not spayed
but she sounds absolutely adorable. little dwarf mama cat. i wish her the best

like, I remember getting hella annoyed with Elliot as well but that's because he'd nonstop bite me, but after some patience and work he takes it out on his toys (and only sometimes feet lmao) like
it's just like a child?? you love a child but not your pet? stupid

I also REALLY want to do it but for now we have 4 cats, we might have a house but I am not working fulltime rn and so does my husband, so we'll wait with any more cats, maybe after we'll move and be stable!

ahaha I totally get it though, those Maine coons are so precious ahaha

Oh yeah like kitten Percy was so annoying I was like crying myself to sleep every night but like!!! They’re a little baby ofc they need attention!!!! I just wish people took getting a common pet more seriously,,,

yeahh that’s fair! I hope soon one of you has enough work that you can have a gazzilion cats!!

Same, they are also great companions, and also feel and love their humans.

that is a great law! I honestly hate people selling cats for a LOT and breeding them for that but the good minimal price for the work that needs to be done? like a chip, and registration and later neutering or spaying, shows a person can afford a cat and also willing to put in money to get one, totally agree with you, great change.

yep! She is an outdoors cat but owned by one of our neighbors!
She had all our babies, first 2 are from the same litter, third is from a litter right after, and the newest baby is the only kitten she had given birth to 2 months ago
hopefully as lilo heals we'd be able to catch her mom and put an end to the endless amounts of kittens she has
