mods through sampi don't disable achievements as far as I remember...
yeah smapi shouldnt disable them but there is a chance that you could miss some if you have a lot of mods (like i do) im not a tech person so idk how it works but i disabled all my mods for the 1.6 update and everything has been running smoothly

i think its usually an issue if you have unstable internet (from what i have read online)?
