Hm weird, it's just called that and I don't think it's hidden

Ah, that's nice. And for grunnskolelærer, you just have all topics, right?
I'm doing BA (Hons) Contemporary Dance, but I'm really considering to quit and find something else to do
i don't find it at all
so it might be hidden?

no, not all. i have math and norwegian now... and then i can choose 3 more subjects i think
ohh you don't like it anymore?
Ah, I checked now and it's hidden...

I was a little quick to assume there, of course we had multiple teachers in "mellomtrinnet" (5-7). Lol, I was just thinking førskolelærer, that's like 1st grade where we just had one teacher for everything. Are you hoping to work with the younger (1-4) or older kids (5-7) then?
No and yes... it's complicated, but for a short version I basically don't have the same motivation and dedication as I used to and I don't see my future as a dancer, and in order to be able to go through with this degree you have to love it 100% cause it takes everything out of you both physically and mentally. I'm loving dance and all the classes, I just don't have the dedication that it requires and I want to try to do something else.
But if I quit I need to reevaluate my life cause I really don't have anything else to do so I need to find out what I'm interested in this got a little longer than intended
i'm gonna have both 1-4 and 5-7, but you don't become a teacher in "everything" anymore. a lot of things have changed at schools. ofc you might actually teach a subject you don't have tho. a førskolelærer works in barnehager tho, not on schools (usually) at lest it's not allowed anymore

ohhh that's hard. yes, it seems like something you must be very dedicated about if you're actually gonna make a career out of it!
ohshit, yes, that's a plot twist. don't you have any subjects or interests about anything else?

Ah ok, I had no idea, it must have changed a lot since I/we were at that age. So you're gonna only teach a few topics and just have those for all ages at barneskolen?
Meant grunnskolelærer, not førskolelærer sorry!

I am, or more correctly, I was. I'm not as dedicated anymore and that's why I think I'll have to stop. I love dance don't get me wrong, but I get so excited when I don't have to dance one day, and I kind of feel like that's a sign that it's time to let go. I've only been thinking dance, dance, dance for 16 years and now it's time for life to move on I guess. I'll still dace for fun, I will never stop dancing, but I don't think I want to make a career out of it. I've just come to turns with that this careers isn't for me, and that's a scary thought not gonna lie
I really want to get into nutrition and dietetics, especially working with eating disorders and/or athletes, but in order to do that I have to take new topics from vgs since I only have generell studiekompetanse and not realfgskompetanse, which I need for a BA in nutrition.

yes only a like 5 topics yes. I will have all the big topics like math and norwegian tho, bc they are the "main" topics at barneskolen. But i will probably also teach some subjects i actually don't have as well. but idk, things change a lot atm, so it might even be different from now when i graduate.
i will probably be kontaktlærer for one class at the time and have most of the subjects with them, and then orher teachers will have subjects like music and gym with them.

yes that makes sense. sometimes a hobby isn't a career even if it's something you love veryvery much,
ohhh that seems interesting. it might be worth taking up those subjects tho? even tho it must feel awful to start taking vgs subjects. but it's is better that you get to study something you actually want to do

Ah, I see. What topics do they even have at barneskolen?

It sucks, but I think it’ll be for the best. But I don’t know if I’m gonna quit after this semester and just take the VGS topics this spring/summer or if I’m gonna stay here for the full year and then take a whole year next year to take up those topics and also get to work on the side.

I've watched Bohemian Rhapsody today, I'm happy I finally saw it.
But damn it was expensive, more expensive than fantastic creatures. Odd

Yes it does, but also it was two different cinemas I watched it in but the one I was in today is usually cheaper or around the same prize.
