they should redo the sewage system. (and add an extra safe bike lane! it's fun to bike!)
thankfully the city was at fault and paid for the damage and to replace everything!!! but at first they were trying to act as if it was our fault somehow because only our house flooded (it was at the end of that branch of the sewer line) like NO!!! PAY UP

jebus crebus that sounds awful,,,, good ur getting a bike lane (we got those stripe ones too in places where they cant fit one on the sidewalk, n theyre better than nothing)... but sewage water flood is the fucking worse it happened to my school once....
i'm so surprised they have bike lanes like that in europe(?) i always think of europe as having actual bike infrastructure. i wanna move to norway soooo badly

the sewage was SO SCARY and it was full of wriggling worms and stuff. my hedgehog cashew's cage was on the floor and luckily we were awake when the sewage started because we scooped him out of his cage literally seconds before it flooded with the sewage
we do have that but also old cities so its not always possible to rebuild a whole street and implement a bike lane when theres already been car road implemented! but for longer stretches not in inner city they make a lot of separate bike roads and its great yes! i fink part of good bike infrastructure requires a bit of both!
