you need to be into lyrical writing and slower storylines where the plot isn't in the forefront, but if you are, it's stunning

same with fantasy! i've never really been into reading fantasy, but since i started acotar it's luring me more and more in to that genre.
just over 100 pages in now and it's perfect so far !atencia wrote:
i've been in the mood for cozy fantasy / magical realism lately, so all the books i've read so far in january has been of that genre ☕️🍄🍃
currently reading an ember in the ashes tho, and i had high expectations because it is a favourite ya fantasy for many, and though i can see that it isn't a bad book, it really isn't working for me. not sure if it is that particular book that's the problem, or just the fact that ya fantasy in general hasn't captured my attention lately. fifty pages left so hoping i can finish it after work today and just be done with it
also reading the starless sea and absolutely loving it so far! read the night circus about 6 months ago and it quickly became my absolute favourite book, so i had really high expectations for the starless sea, and so far it has not let me down 🐝✨
