what do u think abt this sub

considering ur view on gender stereotypes in relations to being trans/nb etc
@ouch hah some of these are pretty funny. i haven't looked much at it, but at a glance i think it's pretty harmless tbh. it seems like these are just a bunch of people, who might or might not be trans, dipping their toes into the trans-world, and seeing if it's actually something they belong in, or not.

LOLed at this one:

which is so ironic cause i talk abt how performing femininity (wearing skirts) doesn't mean ur trans etc.
yes, I just find it weird how they will pretty much say every girl for example that wishes she could take her boobs off/on everyday, or wishes she was born a boy (tho not having anything against being a girl yeah), or the even more stupid stuff like clothes etc yeah.

Nah but I think I saw someone write on there once that if she could choose, she would have chosen to be born a boy, but she had nothing against being a girl either. Cue everyone "ur trans bla bla bla", but I think like,, no? u might be, but I would choose to be born a boy too, or have the option to take off n on my boobs again at will, but I still feel like a girl and I have no interest in transitioning. But if I would say this to them, they would just say im in denial or sum lol, and thats weird

no yeah i agree w that heavy. a woman wanting to be a man can often just be bc... being a man ur actually respected as a human in society. i fantasize about how it would be to be white / male / neurotypical for the same reasons.

but yeah, a lot more people think about being the opposite gender once in a while, for various reasons.

I was just reminded of this sub now, cus I was looking through illnessfakers or sum (?) and someone had posted a tiktok of a woman that first said that if u have ever thought abt/questioned your gender you are most likely not cis (first of all, what, but anyways) and then she said it was the same w autism, like if you were wondering abt u being autistic, ur most likely autistic. She herself was trans and autistic but its liike, what what

oof yeah really bad advice indeed, and i feel that that sentiment is very 'trendy' now. it really reminds me of tumblr 2014 when everyone had 23239 listed diagnoses

Again, that is probably very true in the US, but not everywhere
Sarah everard was British. But you’re right that I don’t have a very global perspective on policing. I wonder if the amount of trauma my nation has faced at the hands of our own police makes it harder for me to think outside the us on this one. Because i do think im better and thinking globally than the average American thanks to all the time I’ve spent on vp with you guys but on this issue you’re right I’ve got a very American knowledge set
I also think you're very well informed of the world outside the US though. Sometimes I try to imagine myself living there, growing up there, and it feels so off putting and I don't understand how peole can deal. I meme on you guys a lot but in reality I feel sympathy

and i reallly really thank my friends on vp for me being able to think more globally and less us centric like the internet feels like its in america but vp feels like its in scandanavia and i learn so much here just from exploring our cultural differences (and non diffferences also lol) like i know for a fact having friends in europe has changed the way i think about many many things

I have no empathy for antivaxxers. Like zero. Yesterday someone told me that their uncle (48 years old) died of covid (previous to that he refused to get vaccinated, fighting with his entire family about it). I have empathy for my friend, who lost their uncle, but I have no actual empathy for the uncle having lost his life this rather early.
