Bologna is honestly the coziest and nicest place to go, but I'm also in love with a specific restaurant there. Best place I've ever eaten (we ate there three times in the week we were there) and I've tried to copy some of their recipes for my own kitchen. (Trattoria dal biassanot)
Also, you can get shitfaced drunk with old men on the trattoria and they'll ask you so solve math problems and buy you wine for your effort. Also architecture and seeing museums and stuff. I still think about the science place we visited that showed different pregnancy related things, because that shit was taken straight from a horror movie.
If I had to choose somewhere else to go it would probably be London to visit one of Ottolenghi's many restaurants and for some bookshopping.
