I'd say my dad expects something  bought for sure. If it was my mom I wouldn't feel any pressure.

One christmas we gave him a beer tasting event kinda thing but idk.. I was thinking on a spa day, though he and his partner goes to those quite often. :/ @Aske

oh man i have no idea, a spa day is probably nice if he likes stuff like that?

record player, a good knife, fishing rod, insulated lunch bag,, does he like cooking, a portable smoker, apron and gloves, pizza oven 
something hes collecting, a concert, museum trip, something costumised like a key chain or whatever idk idk
