'the child inside me is screaming and punching, but i'm trying to calm him down by reassuring him and repeating what you said before'  (after i reassured him that a form we filled in together was filled in correctly because he had compulsions to keep checking the form) 

and he keeps thanking me so earnestly for helping him, which makes me feel very... idk how to explain but warm/connected/genuine
i think this might be the sweetest man i have ever encountered in my life

OH AND this was actually huge news for me today
he has two cats who were stray kitties and one of them (he's called stray hehe but the dutch word for it 'zwerver') is always very scared of visitors so he sits on a cupboard to be high up and chill there
but the last two weeks (i've worked with this client for a month) he's been slowly coming off his cupboard and a week ago he sniffed my finger AND TODAY HE LET ME PET HIM!!! FOR A LONG TIME TOO!! 
and the previous healthcare coaches (idk the english term) who helped my client for years have never been allowed to pet him...... i feel so happy he feels at ease w me omg

I KNOW RIGHT
i'm absolutely sure if i told him a friend online said this about him he'd be very joyful about it but i won't because i'm not allowed to talk about clients online i don't think
just know that he'd probably love you too!!!!
