In that case _i_ would not work for Nintendo they are greedy and they are in a little bit of trouble. The switch 2 is not selling that well, few games and a lot of remakes. Now they try to sell Pokemon Pokopia bundles before the new law in EU takes place. The law says that the costumer must have the ability to replace the battery and they need to sell the stock they have before they launch the new models.

i would definitely go for concept artist, i’m not completely sure but it sounds like it fits your end goal way better than marketing + it will still look good on ur cv because you’d get actual working experience in the field you wanna work in!Ā

honestly the german HQ is mostly responsible for PR and marketing they got nothing to do with the developer team and which company isnt greedy tbh.. i dont like all of the decisions the CEOs make but the developers still take a lot of time creating theses games and there is no doubt that working at nintendo is a big opportunity and getting a good job is all about connections i fear

right but i dont think i have a future in concept art realistically. Marketing seems more like something i can actually do even if AI replaces my job as an artist. Not to mention that there is barely ANY companies that offer 2D art nowdays its horrible

I do hope Nintendo will do better, in the end its up to you and if you feel Nintendo is the best route i will cheer for you! Its also a big step and open lots of doors in the future.
Have you asked someone too look and read the contracts from both places? Im asking these questions because i dont want you to be used. A contract can look good on the surface and be bad if you dont read it proper.
You artists needs to be protected!

update: i decided to stay at the concept art place i was at my professor told me to stay there cuz nintendos name is not gonna mean much if i can offer a good portfolio. I would trust him with my life so i decided to reject nintendos offer (wow what a timeline im living in)

if nintendo truly loved me they would want me to get better and then apply for an actual concept artist position instead of PR (even though im kinda interested in that as well)
