So, the book i complained about last time, not wanting to finish it and hating the writing style.. i have gotten 3/4 of the way now and i surely still hate the writing style. It's just so school assignment type writing sometimes and it's really not my cup of tea. On the other hand the storyline in itself is okay so far.

Any recommendations for soft and/or happy books to read for the winter? I know my winter depression would hate me, of i go head first into dystopias or similar!

i just recently started reading this september!! i was never into reading as a kid bc of my adhd but i got really into it recently!! i have a tbr of almost 200 books now c:

so far i've read:

things have gotten worse since we last spoke
tender is the flesh
the shadows between us
wilder girls

so mostly spooky books for spooky season but been wanting to get into more contemporary and fantasy!

The cover of the first one looks morbid, omg.

I hope you will continue to enjoy it! Reading is a newer interest of mine too, mostly one i took up this year! haha

If yall set reading goals, for the year, do you set it based on the previous years amount?

No. I set it based on my age. I don't think I'll have a goal next year, but these are my goals history

Well that's a fun way to do it! I read about 15 books and will probably land between 20-25 before next year. so i guess setting a goal around my age, would be pretty achievable haha! Otherwise i might just round up the books i read this year, to the nearest whole number.

Yeah, to me it feels doable as well since I don't read as intensely as I did earlier.

It was truly my best years. I read every day. I only failed 2015 because I decided to pick up a 800 page book two weeks before New Year, lmaof I didn't stand a chance.
