I think that would be such a fun adventure

My schoolmate and his girlfriend have asked me to join them when they go to different metal festivals in Europe and I really want to go. It's a bit scary thought though lol
i really want to and she as well(but we won't go alone, we'll make out dad come with us)

n i miss festivals n just walking around and desperately hoping the wifi works so you can triple check when the last bus is going but you miss it anyway because the last gig of the night is good but it's fine so you just walk to the bus station at 3am to wait for the 6am bus home and it's freezing even tho it's june and youre just listening to the tour playlist and reliving the live music while trying to keep warm
Okay now I'm definitely crying......
It's all just so good
We should definitely go together again
Next time we could even meet each other!
yes 🥺
weirdly ive always had fun going to festivals by myself i cant actually remember if ive been to 2 or 3 alone ? probably 2.... the first time i went to provinssi i went with my mom to see rammstein, i think that was 2016, then in 2017 i went to provinssi by myself to see die antwoord (ew), was in the literal front row, probably got spat on (ew x2), my bus left at 6am so i just walked around freezing to death all night
also in 2017 went to rockfest to see rammstein and infected mushroom again, i got completely lost, the one vantaa bus stop was terrifying bcs there were no roads out and idk when the bus closer to the festival place went n how much it cost??? and then i walked around the whole entire festival area and accidentally almost walked to the staff area and climbed like 3 fences lmao... again it was completely freezing at night so instead of sitting at the open air train station i hopped on the last bus to helsinki (without paying), got sexually harrassed, got coffee and walked around for 2 hours n got my train home lol

i love it and miss it dearly

Damn, I was just trying to come to terms with the fact that there really won't be any big festivals this summer and now after reading through this thread I'm sad abt it again

This thread feels like a memorial to next summer's festivals...

Truly. I'm glad you made it!

So many memories to choose from, though...
I think one of my favorites is the last time Twenty One Pilots performed in Helsinki. The whole trip to see them feels like a fever dream sometimes, tbh. We were waiting in line for the concert for around 13 hours, I'd like to say, and I think the concert was in February so we were just wrapped in those foil-looking blankets to stay relatively warm, sitting on actual blankets and occasionally walking down to the mcdonald's near the venue to get coffee, use the bathroom and get something to eat. Before the concert we were thinking about what we were going to do the bag full of blankets and other stuff we needed while we were waiting in line and one of my friend had someone contact her on Instagram to ask if we wanted to leave our stuff in her trunk during the concert. Neither of us knew her but she was also a fan of our favorite band so we decided to just blindly trust her. Left our bags and coats in her trunk and waited in the cold for the last 30 minutes before the doors opened without coats. Did end up getting into the first row and also getting our stuff back from the trunk after the concert, so all good!

My music taste's pretty broad. My favorite bands/artists are Hollywood Undead, Rammstein, Twenty One Pilots, BMTH, Troye Sivan, Blind Channel and Ghost, though!

omg what a day! Truly a memory worth cherishing.
I love meeting people in concerts because usually there's such a lovely feeling of unity. Of course there are always some (drunken) assholes but most of the time people just want to enjoy good music!

Sounds good!! It's not about the genres it's about good vibes and sound. Rammstein is probably my favorite band as well. And Ghost is so funny, I actually went to my penkkarit as Papa Emeritus II lmao made the outfit from scratch and everything.

Yeah, meeting new people at the concerts is fantastic! I also love the times when I bump into people who I've hung out with at the queues at other concerts because it's easy to just pass time while waiting for the doors/gates to open with them, even if we're not necessarily friends outside the concerts!

Ghost is very funny! I actually didn't listen to them before I saw them live, which happens for me with a lot of bands, tbh.

Also, that sounds amazing! I definitely did not make as much effort for my penkkarit outfit lmao. Did you have the headpiece and everything?

It's so much fun!! I love that. You get to hang out with so many different people. Maybe we'll see each other some day haha

Yea. That's pretty nice way to get to know new music! Listening to records after seeing the band live sure sounds so sweet. Better than before the concert.
Haha yea I made it all!

True! I go to concerts and festivals quite often so I've had conversations like "wait, what row were you in this and this concert? - No way, I was right next to you!" and "wait, were you in this festival, you look really familiar?" probably at least 10 times lmao.

Absolutely agree, I feel like I only listen to the band I've just seen for like a week straight after the concert tbh.

Aaah, that looks so good, you did great with that!
