but yeah. this sucks. tomorrow im going to my boyfriends place and i will stay there with him for an unknown amount of time until this calms down.

It is just as sad as any other age.
It just means that elderly people will most likely die of any type of virus and we can’t start to freak out like people already have.

it's important to add that it is a person of high age as they more often have underlying diseases and in general weaker immune systems and bodies than younger people. it is more common that old people die from regular colds and influenza as well. of course, it's still a person, no one claimed anything else

I don't think people are mentioning deaths because they're freaking out, I think it's because someone lost their life and they want to acknowledge their humanity and the life they lived.
