It definitely fucks you up.
My family member was raped and died from multiple stab wounds inflicted by her husband's 15 y/o nephew. Due to sentencing guidelines at that time, he wasn't a candidate for the death penalty, unfortunately.
That sounds absolutely horrible. Awful.
My dad's cousin stabbed the then-boyfriend of his ex-girlfriend with two different knives multiple times so he can't claim it was an accident or anything, I don't understand how people can do stuff like that to others. It's awful.
Sorry to hear that and I imagine that was horrible for your dad to reconcile because despite the horrible crime, it is family and not just a monster that perhaps everyone else sees.. hope that made sense.
I can't imagine how the ex gf dealt with all of that.
Idk, my dad isn't even sure if he has met that cousin. People from some religions are huge fans of mass producing children. My dad only found out from reading the newspapers and he was.. yeah.. not impressed

Yeah, I can't imagine being in their shoes and hope I never will be. Just looking at it from the outside is enough tbh. So yeah, I just hope they find him somehow, dead or alive just to get the closure of actually having found him and not be in the unknown forever.
Yeah, I think it does more harm at this point to not know for sure what to think or anything. If they'd found the body, at least they could properly mourn and all that.
yeah.
I was actually curious if someone else was going to know about this case when I posted it, and I'm actually surprised you were living so close too, I'm so used to everyone I meet on these kinds of games are from Oslo or something.
But I'm glad I had someone to discuss this with that actually knew about it too.
Yeah, I lived in Oslo at the time, but I've moved back (at least for now) to Trondheim (finally).
I didn't pay that much attention to it, but I've heard and seen some along the way, would be impossible to avoid.

It makes sense though for you to be more exposed to it since you live in Trondheim now and not outside of it.

That's true. It has strangely not even been discussed among my friends, but I mean.. he's a few years younger and from outside Trondheim so .. yeahh. It's awful, truly awful.

I've barely discussed it with a friend I have that currently lives in Trondheim and commutes to my town for school and stuff and he has heard a bit about it, but not that much, but I think that it's mostly because he's not from Trondheim originally.

actually i have two case that i have more interest in than others probably bcs theyre local?? and i know some of the places involved
one happened in 2011 in a neighborhood where i used to live n now live close to, someone stabbed a chinese-finnish 42-year-old woman in the middle of the day on a forest road in the suburbs. she was found like a minute or two later and the first responders got there under 10 minutes but it's still unsolved. it's wild because there's people all around but they never even had suspects

the other one happened in 2002 and 2003 which involves 2 seemingly random and senseless and drug fueled murders, cannibalism and chopped up body parts
one of the murderers, virpi butt, who was in finnish gladiators in like 1994, took the first victim's head in a plastic bag to a bar and told everyone it was a severed head i think her 16yo kid and toddler were in the house when one or both the murders happened so that must be super cool for them now
she was released recently after having served """"life sentence"""""

I assume it might have been more discussed in that place he is from because they knew him and all that. Trondheim is too big to keep track of everyone all the time. I'm mostly shocked that someone can just vanish like that when there's cameras everywhere.. arguably poor police work? I don't know.

The dude that wrote the book robert smth maybe, were pretty sure on who it was, obv I can't think of the name right now but he was pretty sure yeah n the movie really made it seem like it was him but still not 100% so idk what I believe as its not really solved but. I do not believe that ted cruz is the zodiac killer however, how some ppl genuinly believed that even tho it was a joke is beyond me
