exactly! plus you know most YA books are waay better than books for actual adults..less boring!
Ohh, I don't know about that, I think actual adult books (not in the .. questionable sense) can be really good, but it depends a lot on the author.
Okay yes, I completely agree! it really does depend on the author and how they write to make the story come alive/keep the reader interested.
I often find that the most popular books aren't necessarily the best, they're just simple enough to capture a large audience  I wouldn't say it's a bad thing, reading is good regardless of what you read.

I know we used to give those books as presents for people in my class back in high school for a laugh lmao. I've read some like excerpts because they are so incredibly poorly written it's embarrassing that it got that popular.
Yeah,  its true you do kinda forget that it was written by an adult and not a teenager when reading it. its written so simply that I do think that's one o the main reasons the series is popular.
I guess a lot of people don't like challenges lol. Whenever I re-read one of my all-time favourite book series I'm always amazed by all the details that are hidden there which I've overlooked in previous readings, I adore that.

Yes! I've done that numerous times with books that I've reread, and I'm always like dumbfounded when someone says they don't like to reread books. I'm always like "but you could have missed a detail etc"

I agree, I've learned over the years to not always just go by whats popular or whats on the top reading lists etc. Sometimes you have to actually dig deeper to find the really good storytellers.

Some books aren't something that's worth reading more times, while others are genuine work of arts that are enjoyable regardless of whether you know the story or not. Same goes for movies, there are movies I have no issue rewatching, while others are like yeah sorry I'm done with this now, it was enjoyable one time but that's enough for me, you get me?

And people enjoy different things, I might absolutely adore a book others go like "this is shit", and that's okay too.
