I mean yeah you can make whatever you want but couldn't you at least ask first and see if its okay? Its only polite and frankly I probably would have been alright with it if someone was kind enough to take into consideration how I would feel about it. please note that I'm not gonna do anything about this, I'm just a little upset someone would redo it and even in the same colour :I
 
 
 
EDIT: Pretty sure this turned into a debate about me being a jerk for being upset? I am allowed to feel whatever I feel guys. I just wish they were nice enough to come to me about it and see if it was okay with me. I'm not telling them to take it down or saying that it is a awful design or even saying they HAD to come to me for permission. I just think it would be polite not to redo other peoples designs unless you have at least asked first. I get that I don't 'OWN' mermaids but I do own my own artwork.

I supported jess because the other person was rude (and also the other person was one of the others who made a mermaid tail without talking to me) and because jess actually was polite enough to go and talk to the person first and let them know.
