Hey everyone! I want to try doing something that has kinda been talked about before, and I'm calling it Moderated Mondays. Basically, the idea is to have a moderated chat every Monday about something that would be considered controversial or something that has been known to cause fights in the past. The forums will still follow all regular forum rules, it will just be a safer place where people can voice their opinions on the matter.
How will it work?
The forum will be open for a few hours every Monday (time to be determined, but probably starting around 1pm EST). Like stated, we will open a thread about a topic that you want to talk about, and the floor will be open to whoever wants to voice their opinions. A moderator will be watching the thread at all times and will be removing anything that goes against the rules (ie rudeness to0 another user. Remember, there's a difference between "I disagree with your opinion" and "your opinion is stupid".)Â
So what are the topics?
That's where you come in! What exactly do you want to talk about? I want to hear what topics you think would be neat and I will write them here to choose from when the time comes. What kind of topics you ask? Well, for example, "What are your thoughts on smoking pot".
This may not last, and this may not be well received, we don't know! It's just something I would like to try and see where it goes, since we sadly do not have a forum team right now.Â
Feel free to voice any questions or concerns here as well. This is still the beginning so there may be some bumps along the way
