Haha, that's cool xP (in a weird way, I'm kinda glad you don't as it now validates the fact that I spend £9k a year to do this degree heheh xP). Aw that's great! My boyfriend is similar (and he's doing the same uni course as me xP) - he really struggles to think visually and he's a very odd mix of academic and creative (he's simultaneously studied Physics as well as Drama xP). I think you're a lot more creative than you think <3
I was very similar when I was younger, too. I wrote so many dialogue-based stories on GSM! It just takes practice :3 I personally love detailed descriptions (hence The Night Circus is one of my favourite books) as it really helps the story to come alive for me. I love stories that are place and character-based, like character studies! Plot is good and is necessary but it can be almost secondary for me xP!
However, when I write, I try to write with a balance of all. I have some very flourishy descriptions but I try to make sure it's all there for a reason :3
It's great - it's very similar to Yoga but it's less about holding a position and is more about reps :3
Haha, I get that. It's so hard for me to imagine how it would be like to have to pay for university. I would probably have been forced to study something a lot more pragmatic than what I'm doing (a master's in gender studies), which sounds very depressing to think about.
Yeah, exactly! I'm bad at visualising things, I'm a lot more of a verbal thinker, which means dialogue comes very easily to me, while descriptions are just difficult. It's not something I really feel like practising though, since I only write for fun, whenever inspiration comes.
I've never tried neither pilates nor yoga, but it sounds like something I might enjoy.
It's a real kick in the balls, is pretty much the only way to describe it xP. There's student finance so it's not a direct payment but it's still a debt which is just - not fun. Had Labour won the election, they were gonna eradicate student debt for students currently at university ; - ;.
Yeah, that's part of why I'm studying two subjects, I feel like it strengthens my opportunities a little more :3. I'm very glad my parents aren't the kind of people to force me to do something more academic (my sister studied Photography too).
I would've probably ended up studying English Language or History o . o !
Yeah, I get that. Sometimes my brain switches. For some scenes I think of, I know EXACTLY what I want people to say but completely forget the location xP. Aw I get that, I have that with drawing a little. I'd love to be able to do it better but I don't really have the heart to practice it completely. I mainly just draw from references.
It'd be awesome if you tried! Blogilates on Youtube is amazing for doing pilates at home, especially for beginners. She makes it so fun! <3
Would you mind if we continued talking via pm instead? My dad switches off the internet at 1 (in four minutes), so I won't have time to reply now, and I don't want to bring this thread up randomly tomorrow when I have internet again.
