not too much on jess, she administrates the EN server - you should take this up with any admin on your server. jess gets extremely limited info from kaj, she basically runs this server on her own

i know, so what does that change about the fact that she assumes this?

what did she assume though? unless the info you use when signing up to vp is leaked, then it's not a site security issue

But the person posting photos and real life names isn't kaj's issue in relation to site security. Its a confidentiality issue. People posted at some point that information. Once information is on the internet - its no longer private information.

I know Wishbone is s lot more involved with this then I am as its the Dutch server that's been targeted and is dealing with the matter wonderfully her end, however if that is the case then I know that they have been working in the background to work with the matter. I was under the assumption that it was mostly people who shared links etc who were affected, so I apologise.

and yes there are many thing possible to stop spammers from doing this it's laziness. Kaj only wants his money and leaves

is it really though? because you sign up to vp and give an email, date of birth and your ip - anything else is found elsewhere really

and yeah i definitely agree kaj could step up but i dont think jess is to blame for not knowing details on a server she doesnt work for

Its fine and I appreciate the stress this is causing you. By my post earlier i was referring to the internet in general also - not just on VP.

What I do know is that the NL admin and Kaj are working to resolve the matter as quickly as physically possible.

I interpreted this rule as the opposite, basically that you are not supposed to share personal info about yourself since it can be misused.

Anyway, that person should definitely be banned, since sharing info about others is obviously not acceptable.
