Actually there are two designers involved, Phyx and Hiraeth got copies too. There are 13 female members within the team so it’s more for others (15) than for us (13).

If we did as you suggested, we’d very likely be accused of favoring team members if we let them win too. It’s not just for SMT, other teams (eg ET) handles events like this too - all team members get the prize, no matter if they were involved in the particular event or not. And that’s probably because of the same reason that I just wrote above
Yea, I still find it odd everyone gets the set. Probably the idea of rewarding only those who worked on the events will not be welcomed by all the team members, but I think it would make things more fair.

As for favoritism, it takes like a minute to start a screen-recorder and another minute to upload the vid to youtube. Maybe it could be even streamed live, so you won't be accused of cutting the vid. So any raffle winner selection could be shared and there would be no complaints.
you don't know who's working on the event behind the scenes. just because it only took place on tumblr it doesn't mean only the tumblr people were involved :/ (and yeah i know what i'm talking about i were in several teams on the german server)
I don't think a raffle requires 15 people.

All of SMT (and other teams too) works really hard to keep this site entertaining for you, so yes sometimes it takes 15 people. The sets are kind of our paychecks somewhat.
And as earlier said, many people put in input and join the planning at the events we host. So it wouldn't really be fair if like 10 of us got the set and other rest we're going to be like sorry 2 bad u didn't join in.

It definitely wouldn't take "just a minute" but a lot of more time.. We already spend a lot of our free time for doing fun events for you guys, and we have IRL stuff too, you know?

If you ask us to record everything we do, would you do the same for other teams that have the same practise as we do?

How about WWIB competitions where we vote for our favorites? What if someone says; " *smt member* got this much votes only because they're a member - not because their outfit is good!" In addition to that, the whole team participates in voting so if they were then excluded from voting at all, only 3 would be responsible of picking the winners.
I know you spend your free time and I would not like to turn it into discussing the cons of volunteering. I do raffles within my RL, so I know it really doesn't take long to record the raffles. You just start the software (I use Corel ScreenCap) before you raffle the names, then upload it to a video host site. The time consuming thing is collecting the names and raffling them, not the recording or uploading...  you raised the issue with favoritism, that's why I suggested it, so you don't have to worry. It was a constructive idea. :)
I talked about raffles, because they don't require voting. :) And I addressed I'm not talking only about your SMT raffle event, but all teams. :)

it's not just making the raffle?? it's also deciding which outfit should be used, asking the designer, making the actual thingy (graphic?? idk if that's the right english word lel) for the post, announce the winners etc. like idk people who never really were in a team (especially not the one mentioned) shouldn't really complain because they really don't know what's going on behind the scenes actually.
and as cute said: the sets are the "paycheck" for the people in the team. they do all of this to make vp a bit more exciting and they're putting their free time into this site so it's the least they can get, seriously

No one questioned your hard work. But if we talk about raffles... having the set only, because you're on the team? And yes, it's a paycheck, I accepted that and I don't wanna take it from those who worked on the event, but getting it only, because you're in the team...

Now i don't totally disagree with the fact that u guys get sets as payment, but wouldnt it kinda give u an advanged when u participate in other contests when u get so many good quality sets handed?  cx

As I mentioned above, I'm open and I'd love to see how the team works in a blog or something. I had no ill intentions, yet, things got out of hands and you got all defensive. It was just a discussion, no drama, so I don't get the martyr reasoning.

From what I gathered, there are a group of users who are responsible for the VP Tumblr exclusively. People who post and people who design the layouts. Let's say it's 4 people. I think 4 people can communicate with the designer and do all the other things without requiring anyone else out of their circle to do it?

And as I said above, okay, it's a paycheck, I accept that and I don't wanna take it from those who worked on the event, but getting it only, because you're in the team...?
