That's what you implied by saying you count by fives. It makes it sound like you think a clock looks different just because we use the 24-hour format.

You're right, it's not weird or odd to say 1st of October, just kinda unnecessary when you can cut out the of by switching it

and in English at least 1st October would be incorrect n weird
