I have to agree with this tbh. In all my time as a mod I don't think I gave a single TO for battling yourself. Plus it isn't exactly clear in the rules that it isn't allowed so a warning should have gone out first to clarify to those taking part.
I actually think it is stated pretty clear in the rules when it  comes to a contest

Actually you can interpret the don't cheat rule like that. Battles are hardly fair if the other person let someone win.

This is about people battling themselves. I'm not even sure what the regular rules are, but I don't think anyone has ever gotten in trouble for letting people win battles.

No, its never been allowed I think, just that they don't punish ppl for it but when its considered cheating, they punish for it 
it's either cheating or it's not, although not common, levels do bring perks on this site. is it allowed to sorta-cheat to a level? i think these questions r valid although i am kinda deeping it here

that's very vague, letting someone beat you in a battle could be interpreted as cheating to some
