This is about people battling themselves. I'm not even sure what the regular rules are, but I don't think anyone has ever gotten in trouble for letting people win battles.
But there is literally no difference 
if my friend was competing and I let her battle against my main to win
is it not the same as her battling her main and winning??

It's likely based off of people making forums / shouts about wanting to win battles. rather than looking through the logs to prove it that way
