I guess it's as good a time as any since vp has been falling apart for like 6 months now.
if you would feel comfortable doing so, i would love to hear your thoughts on what has gone wrong, and what we need to do moving forward in order to get vp back on track. (my dms are always open for constructive criticism)

the main goal is a safe and welcoming environment for the entire userbase.

I mean, obviously gsm being a thing again wasn't the best turn of events but it has been a chain reaction of designers quitting fewer sets being available and users growing bored of the site for over 2 years now.

I don't know the solution except a lot of investments and new features and advertising which won't happen since Etjen probably can't or doesn't want to invest 20k+ € into this website.

those are all valid and good points, and i agree that we should push on these changes as best we can.
personally, i feel that vp has some positive aspects to it that gsm does not have - i recently had a friend of mine join vp (having only been on gsm) and she re-introduced me to some aspects about vp that are really good in comparison to gsm.

aside from that though, is there anything we as mods can do in order to rebuild the trust the community has in us as a team? if you (or anyone for that matter) have any thoughts on this, please feel free to send me a message. <3

i say this in the kindest way possible with zero hateful intent, but how did they get chosen last week if myrcella only got active again a few days ago?

She has been active, you just don't/didn't see her on the forums as much. More of a lurker.

very fair question!

i am a total lurker, and have frankly lost touch with the userbase here. that has led me to be a ghost whenever i have logged in, but i have been actively logging in for at least a few weeks now.

i realize that my activity might be a concern to many of you, and i welcome you to call me out if you feel that i am not active and visible enough in forums. i will try my best to be more visibly active moving forward <3

if you are out of touch with the userbase, how do you expect the userbase to start trusting you if you don't even know what the current userbase is like? once again not a hateful comment, just genuine concern.

personally have no experience on any of the other servers, so cannot attest to that.

however, distrust in mods seem to be a reoccurring thing on sites like this in general. hope that this is something we can work on moving forward.

Id like to comment on that one.
Most of the moderators have tried this before, but it gets hard to do when it feels like the user base is always against you. You show up in a forum and everything turns to "omg a mod in the forum"

I won't say adding mods would be the best solution now but redefining other much needed things
