I have no clue.. But i think it is rare with more than 300 online, and i think there always are more than 80 online xD But you should ask some night people or non European people
ups... kinda forgot it's one server only but that's kinda cute it's like a small village where everybody knows everybody haha

Gaiaonline is in my opinion a more rude experience than VP and functions differently
Also i have found that VP works not only on phones but tablets, cromebooks (duh), Ds, and Xbox one 
^^ learned that it works and is user friendly due to me being desperate for my daily spins and trying to get LE items
