I would also like to be able to paste from a clipboard on mobile,
even if they break after a week to save data, that would be better{option}

from Elisia,

First for everyone, i apologize that the thread was not fully ready when i posted it. There should have been more details. I have been sharing information in core team thread, but that same information should have been shared here as well. Especially before it was labeled as an "official" thread.
That miscommunication is on me.
- I'm sorry -
please forgive my error,
hopefully it has been taken care of

Second,
thank you to everyone who took over, those that helped to reshape this forum.
This is a place to share your comments AND concerns.
This is a small community. Every voice matters.

HAVING SAID THAT

This project is very early on in development.

That is why everything was initially shared the way it was.
This is not something that has an end date yet, and there is absolutely no rush.
The preview shown is a very early draft, to layout general boxes, but I asked to share the mobile version because i knew the layout for the homepage was still a wip. With the mobile version you saw fewer assets and got an idea/feel for the bottom bar with the shop, bank, wd, fans icons. And the ideas we have started.

There were so many cool things in that screenshot (plus more if i had scrolled). i was too excited, and the first wave of comments felt so unkind to all this hard work. I do not retract my former comments. i made them because i was emotional, sure. but i made them because i care. this project hits hard because this website almost feels sacred. i am not the same person that made this account. If i told 12 year old me that VirtualPopstar would still be up and running we would cry, because this is my happy place.
This website means so much to me. the people on this website too.
This is a home,
A safe space. a place to be weird or unique.
To be beautiful, rich, and famous.
Please have some faith in the teams that keep this site going.
This project is for the good of vp, not for marketing purposes.
I wont let it be about money

If you are interested in the VP market, go buy some tokens.
They're great and support us. They also sell/trade very well.

@devilcake
1 reminder to share your ideas(/threatening /crying),
2 thank you especially for your patience with me

This is less a "core team official" thread. It is more intended for you guys.
it is a designated home for all ideas, because this is happening

This is the next step. it is happening to get new wardrobe/uploader/tags/etc.

We want your ideas and feedback.

This was intentionally made by NobodyFamous because nothing here is official by core team,
officials are taking note. But this is a WIP together player to player

Official announcements from Core Team will continue to be made in the Core Team thread.
Updates will come as often as we can, which recently, has been about once a month!

Not sure if it's been mentioned or not but easy access to your own profile and/or wd from whereever you are on VP

i'm not sure if this is part of website redesign or no, but i'd love to see enbettes extension implemented in the new site
as a macbook/safari user i unfortunately cant use the extension but i know theres some nice features in there that make the site work better

would also love to see a real trading system, trading never goes wrong imo but it often requires two players being online at the same time + trust
while a trade request where you can select your items / their items is easier and safer

something that could be useful imo is a 'mark for trade' button for items, kind of like the add to wishlist button making it possible to sort on wl items
whenever i need to sell multiple items i'm either spending a lot of time on finding the items in my wd by searching on the designer and looking through multiple pages or i add them to my own wl so i can sort on that but then i have to delete them afterwards again

but maybe these are all more wd overhaul related? im not completely sure if wd overhaul = website redesign or if those two are separate things

i asked about this in the regular core team thread already and i'm also not sure if this is part of website redesign or something else but would still love to see it / mention it so it doesn't get lost:

would it be possible to implement more thread customisation options? as in, font size, more text color options, text blocking/formatting, justify my beloved...
i'm writing something for FT and finding out how limited we are in making a forum pretty or properly readable when having a lot of text
everything aligned left looks messy and not pretty, everything centered is also messy and not super readable... would be amazing if we could work with blocks of text
-- would love if this could also be done in blogs & on profiles, kind of what i mentioned on page 2 as well:
- extensive profile and blog post customisation (=read: (minimal or full) html/css coding stuff), i feel like this is such missed potential as there are sure to be ppl on here who'd love to spend time on that and do commissions which improves credit circulation and time spent on the site
- blog posts in general should be easier to use, substack is trending and ppl for sure have things they'd love to share on here but the blog post layout is so dated and boring that it's not fun to use. commenting on blog posts is hidden away below the post and very small / limited

I'm looking into it every once in a while, for the forum redesign/rewamp I plan to upload new version of our text editor (or some other editor if it's going to conflict with the new site architecture) and probably write some extended bbcode parser, with a lot more customization (maybe even with stuff like flexboxes, grids, custom vp specific elements like clothes/looks and a list of css features for styling)

And yes wardrobe rework is a part of redesign, so it's actually going to happen in the not so distant future

sounds great!!! very excited for forum expansion / customisation and how ppl will use it

amazing to hear that wardrobe rework is on its way too gaahhh hype

for wardrobe rework another feature i'd love to see is favouriting items/custom labels to make finding specific items easier
i have some items i would looove to make an outfit with but i keep forgetting where they are/that i have them, if i could favourite them or label them something like 'outfit later' that wouldn't be an issue

and for forum rework, what are all ur thoughts on forum signatures ?
some room underneath ur forum posts for whatever, cute pixel art/divider or another banner or link to a song or lyrics or credits for the outfit ur wearing or anything like that

Tbh I'd probably stop playing altogether if vp decides to move completely away from the old school aesthetic

There are so many other things wrong on VP that need to be changed, and a rework of the website design isn't one of them. I think they way VP looks makes it unique. This honestly feels like a wasted effort on something that wasn't asked for. Sorry not trying to slam anyone or make them feel bad, but a new website layout isn't going to bring new players and keep them here. Are there design elements that could change? Sure! And some have been brought up in this thread. I just think efforts should be better spent elsewhere.

can i ask what you would focus on? enbette has stated that none of the site upgrades we've asked for can be achieved on the way the site is currently coded (including wardrobe changes, mobile friendliness, many other features that require coding which is just about everything)

i agree that i don't want the site's theme to change by much, however updating the coding of the site is huuuuuge priority if you ask me
