Epic games the creator of fortnite and tend to add modes that last for a certain amount of time. it could be movie related or a different video game or anything else. Every 3 months ( im not 100% sure if that is correct) there is a new season to the game with its own theme. Epic games is always changing the map and leaving little details and that tell you what's going to happen next. They make the game mysterious with lots of backstories and theories you can come up with your own. The best thing about fortnite is something called v-bucks you can buy this in the game. v-bucks can let you buy skins backpacks pickaxes and dance moves ect
