it's not just making the raffle?? it's also deciding which outfit should be used, asking the designer, making the actual thingy (graphic?? idk if that's the right english word lel) for the post, announce the winners etc. like idk people who never really were in a team (especially not the one mentioned) shouldn't really complain because they really don't know what's going on behind the scenes actually.
and as cute said: the sets are the "paycheck" for the people in the team. they do all of this to make vp a bit more exciting and they're putting their free time into this site so it's the least they can get, seriously
As I mentioned above, I'm open and I'd love to see how the team works in a blog or something. I had no ill intentions, yet, things got out of hands and you got all defensive. It was just a discussion, no drama, so I don't get the martyr reasoning.

From what I gathered, there are a group of users who are responsible for the VP Tumblr exclusively. People who post and people who design the layouts. Let's say it's 4 people. I think 4 people can communicate with the designer and do all the other things without requiring anyone else out of their circle to do it?

And as I said above, okay, it's a paycheck, I accept that and I don't wanna take it from those who worked on the event, but getting it only, because you're in the team...?
The layouters don't belong to a specific team. We do layouts on request and availability.
Sometimes things come up, and team members have different time zones, which can lead to others having to step in and do some of the work. Yesterday Aimz and I helped out with the raffling even though neither of us are actually on the "Tumblr team" by official title. It's very fluent within the team who helps out with what, even though the members are divided into teams

So, it doesn't always work out for the 3 or 4 people in a team to do all of those things without asking for help.
I understand your frustrations and even agree that not everyone "deserves" every set in that sense, but it all boils down to this being the easiest solution. If we start to overcomplicate matters like "who does and who doesn't get this set" it would only lead to frustrations and dismay within the team which would, in turn, affect the users. Getting the sets are a huge motivational source for us, after all, to dedicate our time to the work required.

Regarding having more items for competitions: I think that mainly boils down to style. The reason a lot of the same people win WWIB and ET's dress-up competitions on a regular basis is that people love their ability to style the items they have at disposal. You could have every single item on VP and still don't make an outfit that appeals to the team members' tastes.
Aha, thank you!
