Hi everyone!
Our time in the Event Team Bootcamp has come to an end, and it's time for us to bid you farewell. We have had three amazing weeks getting to know each other and the other boot campers, and of course planning and executing events for the users.
Thank you for showing interest in our events and hyping us up. Thank you for trying out our participation system, and for entering our events. Thank you for the kind words, and the positive feedback, and thank you ALL for welcoming us as Team Purple!
We wanted to make something a bit personalised by answering some questions about Bootcamp! So, feel free to read about our experiences below!
My favourite achievement:
As one of the few in bootcamp without any experience being in a team, I was honestly quite afraid I would not be able to keep up with the rest - to my surprise I was. Honestly just making it through, keeping calm throughout the stress & getting everything done without issues has got to be my favourite achievement(s).
My proudest moment:
Definitely getting through that gut-wrenching gibberish/ quiz event without any issues & without freaking out. I ended up posting the thread, tallying up points as we went along & hosting along with Saudade, and while it was definitely a blast, I was also stressed out beyond belief.
My favourite event:
I loveeed reading everyone's captions in our "Caption This!" event - everyone was so creative & I definitely laughed a lot.
What I'll miss the most:
This is going to sound super corny, but this whole experience was personally what I've been missing from VP for a long time - to me it made playing the game exciting again, and instead of feeling like I was wasting my time it felt very worthwhile. Besides I'm not the most social person in the world so I'll definitely miss talking to and working with people that I might not have gotten to know had it not been for bootcamp. ♡
My favourite achievement:
It’s very difficult to pick one only… Maybe creating a competition thread and updating the FAQ section of another event?
My proudest moment:
Seeing that the players had fun in our events, and many of them took part in all of them! Our goal was to entertain the community and I felt proud of us when we succeeded in it.
My favourite event:
“Caption This!”. I had never tried that before and it was refreshing to have something different for once! (Also because I love memes, especially when they're related to great movies and series)
What I'll miss the most:
The friendly and supportive environment - not only within Team Purple but the community as well! Our events were filled with positivity and good vibes and I'm hoping to see that even after this bootcamp.
My favourite achievement:
My favourite achievement has to be even getting into bootcamp! I had a really amazing time and I really didn’t expect to get in!
My proudest moment:
In all honesty? It has to be getting through 3+ hours of quizzing/gibberish! It was great fun, but phew was it long! I’m proud of both me and Lab for getting through all the questions!
My favourite event:
I loved seeing the dress up results! We had some cozy looks that made me so jealous I didn’t have them IRL. ♡ And hearing about everyone's pets getting cozy with them watching their fave tv show or movie was so cute!
What I'll miss the most:
I’ll miss my teammates, bringing fun to the community and just organising events! It was all such a joy, I had a lot of fun and it was a great distraction from what is happening. ♡ Thank you all for taking part in this journey with us, it wouldn’t have been so great without you guys!
My favourite achievement:
I would say, getting into the bootcamp because it’s my first time. It has been fun to work with Team Purple.
My proudest moment:
The fact my designs were used as prizes. It was always exciting to see if people liked what I made. My schedule was tight but I still managed to finish the designs faster than I thought.
My favourite event:
I definitely liked all the events, they were all good in their own way. My favourite event was cozy dress-up, because it was exciting to vote for the best looks as there were so many participants. It was also interesting to read all the movie and series recommendations.
What I'll miss the most:
I will miss my team, it’s honestly sad how fast the bootcamp ended. I enjoyed it as everyone was so friendly and supportive! This bootcamp was my favourite experience on VP ♡
My favourite achievment:
I really enjoyed writing the text for our Quiz teaser on the Competition page! I assembled the text using quotes from "classic" movies, and I think it turned out really fun and intriguing!
My proudest moment:
Hands down - when we finished all of our events and had sent out the last codes. It was a moment of true proud where I was able to look back and be really pleased about Team Purple's efforts in the bootcamp. It only added to this feeling to see so many people brag about us and tell us they enjoyed our events.
My favourite event:
Even though I enjoyed all of our events, I think my favourite one was the quiz, because it was so much fun to plan it and come up with that crazy gibberish haha!
What I'll miss the most:
I'll miss having a purpose every day, and be able to hang out in the bootcamp chat with everyone. It's been such a blast spending these past weeks with them and getting to know them better. All I can say is that whoever gets onto the team will be most deserving, and get some brilliant teammates ♡
My favourite achievement:
The fact that I got into bootcamp was one of my biggest achievements, I didn't expect it
) Also, the fact that we organised our events without any problem, I think that it can be counted as an achievement, because is not easy to host an event.
My proudest moment:
I am always feeling the proudest person in the world when people compliment my layouts Even though I've been a layouter for more than 2 years, I can never get used to compliments and I always awe when I see people saying nice things about my work.
My favourite event:
I loved them all haha cX All of them were really fun but I think I liked the Quiz day because of the gibberish questions. I have to admit, I founded the struggle to guess really hilarious (sorry not sorry ahhahaha).
What I'll miss the most:
The whole bootcamp experience. Even though I got stressed every time, I still love this xD Bootcamp is such a fun and interesting experience. I've been through lots of bootcamps and the feeling is the same each time, and it's really nice haha ♡ Also, I will miss my teammates too. These 2 weeks have been really fun with them ♡
