Too many for the site to still be profitable, however after each downfall more and more users have left, a year ago the daily users were like 1.5k and now it's like 500-600 if I remember correctly. Gsm is also getting rid of their volunteers which are carrying the majority of the site so I think this is the final nail in the coffin for it to become dead.

They are disbanding Focus group, Social Media Ambassadors and partially Junior Designers (JDs will be offered to become GoDesigners which basically is stricter rules and more demand on designing for a small paycheck). These are the volunteers that are carrying the site and 40+ volunteers will be replaced by probably 3-5 new hires.

the pay for the godesigner position is fair. no one would be a godesigner if it wasn't. i doubt every jd can be a gd tho because we were told there were limited gd spots. and managing a huge team of gds wouldn't work as there'd be more gds than assignments. either way some of us literally can't. i can't because i'm applying for disability and so doing anything for a paycheck would ruin that for me

jds will stay until the change is implemented which they've mentioned their aim is for the end of the year, and then everyone except staff will be able to upload designs. no they don't have a clear plan for quality control, because they didn't think that far ahead. fg and sma have until the end of the month
