Evangeline and Ashby

Ashby had booked a couple of appointments for this day, his wedding day was growing closer and yet him and his fiancée still hadn't sorted anything out, and now they had moved house, they really had no idea what they really wanted, and so he had hired someone to help them. Gina, being the busy woman that she was, told him it was all up to him what happened, and being so free with his wonderful job as a web designer, he had a lot of time in his hand. He hadn't decided to meet their event planner at one of the beautiful reception homes he was considering, and sinthere he was, outside, waiting for this woman to turn up.

Evangeline was dreading her first day at this job, the night before, she had been a bit silly and gone out drinking and well, she didn't really remember a lot of the night, apart from drinking a lot of jelly shots and sleeping with a ridiculously handsome man who she didn't know. It was nothing like her but she had really enjoyed herself. Rushing down the street after getting out of her taxi, she pushed her full fringe back into place and took a deep breath, opening up the door and heading inside, scanning her name pass and going through, waiting for her new boss to let her through.

She walked up the entrance, sighing happily. This was her favourite venue to work with, she would get married here if she could. If she ever got married. She doubted that would ever happen, the man she was in love with ran off with her heart a long long time a go. She spotted a familiar looking man and her eyes widened. It was him, the guy who ran off with her heart. "Ash?" She asked as she walked towards him "No way, what a small world. Didn't expect to see you here. What're you doing here?" She asked, trying to keep her voice calm and trying to hide the fact that she freaking out inside. She hasn't seen him since he left her.

Sebastian wasn't in the best mood. He had been out the night before and he met an amazing woman. She even ended up in his bed. But when he woke up, she was gone. Usually that never happens, if anything he's the one that ends up leaving. He had never been left and he didn't like it. To say his ego had been bruised was an understatement. He put on his blank busines mask as usual, he was the owner of of a massive tech company and he was known for being cold and being good at what he does. He walks out into the waiting area, seeing a woman sat there. He walked closer "Ah, you must be the newbie. I'm Sebastian Dean. Your boss... wait I know you," he said as he looked at her, his jaw dropping slightly. It was the woman he had slept with the night before.

Her head was such s mess and she really wasn't in the mood for being messed by some ignorant manage. Looking up as she heard a voice, a small gasp let evangelines lips as she recognised this mans face. The one she had had over her the previous night. Those lips all over her neck, hands against her skin. This had to be some sort of wicked night mare. You've been framed, maybe. "Uhm yeah I think we've met once before.." she admitted, her doe like blue eyes staring up at him.

Sebastian chuckles "Oh we've met alright. Come on then, Evangeline. We better get started. With you being my personal assistant there's a lot to do and a lot to learn. You will share my office and will attend my meetings and appointments with me. You will be expected organise my schedule and arrange appointments with clients and so on. You will also help me in supplying company data to the other departments so we know where abouts the company is at. This is your desk, your log on is in front of your computer. Now log on and then we can get started before our first meeting," he said as he led her into his office and leaned against his desk. He looked over at her, a little smile on his face. He couldn't believe she was the one he slept with. Usually he never had a one night stand and when he does, it ends up like this. It was mad.

Rvangeline frowned, disliking the way he had said that. We've met alright. Did he think she was just some easy tart he would be able to persuade any time he wanted? She would certainly out a stop to that as soon as she could. Heading over to her desk that was near to his, she logged in quickly, placing her hand bag down beside her feet, she shrugged off her blazer and hung it on the back of her seat. Listening to Sebastian speak, she shook her head. "I'm sorry uhm.. I know you've got a lot to do but.. could you maybe just slow down a little? I've been here ten minutes.." she admitted, herbeyes gazing over the computer, reading all the different files. How the hell was she supposed to do this job? It was definitely going to be the most awkward thing in the world. Why did he have to be so damn handsome?! It was so unfair. Pouting ther beautiful red lips, she twirled a small strand of her hair around her finger, trying to navigate her way around the computer.

Sebastian nodded "Right, sorry." He said as he grabbed a file from his desk. "Leave the computer for a second. Let's head across to the meeting room and I can explain what needs doing," he said as stood. "How come you left this morning?" He asked her as he led her to the meeting room, biting on his lip gently. He was interested to see how she would react. Part of him hoped that he would be able to tease her and that they would get on. He wasn't a hundred percent sure about that however.

Evangeline stood up and smoothed her skirt down, shrugging her blazer back on effortlessly, she picked up the folder and Filofax he had handed to her, along with a pen, and followed him down the corridor, the only sound being her wonderful stilletoes, until Sebastian broke the silence with his witty remark, "it's not funny." She mumbled, looking up at him with a feeble attempt at being angry. It just didn't work in her angelic face. "I left because I had to get home and get ready for my first day at my amazing new job. I wanted to make a good impression. I guess that's down the drain isn't it." Sighing quietly, Evangeline followed him through and took a seat next to him. She was in the deep end with this job and wasn't even sure why she had applied in the first place. But it was too late now, that was for sure.

We need to get along so let's just move on. I don't want this to be hard or awkward because we need to be able to work together," he said as he took a seat in the empty meeting room. He explained what she would need to do before people started to come in. He sighed, he had rally thought about asking her out again before she walked into his office this morning. He knew he couldn't now and he couldn't help but feel disappointed.

It had been nice to let her hair loose and enjoy herse, she just didn't imagine in her wildest dreams that she'd end up having a one night stand. And now here he was, in all his handsomeness that she was just overwhelmed by. "I know. So it's best if we just want leave it behind us and start fresh, yeah?" she asked, looking up at Sebastian. His eyes were so harsh yet she could get lost in them forever. Opening up the Filofax, she flicked to a fresh sheet of paper and took the lid of her pen, resting her other hand in her lap, she crossed her legs at her ankles and waited for the meeting to start, X cited for her first proper day in the job. But she just couldn't get last night off her mind.

Sebastian nodded "Yeah, let's just leave it at last night because if we continue something now it just gets messy for the boTh of us and it could potentially put the business at risk. But it was an amaZing night," he said as he gave her a little smile, his cold facade fading a little. When people started to come in he went back to his cold self however. He was disappointed, he thought she could have been someone he could have possibly seen himself with but he couldn't let himself get involved with her now. He has seen it happen to so many people in businesses and it happened to his own father. He didn't want to put his family or business at risk.

But maybe it was for the best. "Yeah I don't wanna jeopardise my job or sythingm or get on the wrong side of you. That would just be messy." She agreed, smiling when the meeting room filled up with several people who looked extremely important, and suddenly Evangeline felt as if she definitely didn't belong with them. Who was she trying to kid? She was almost like a ateenager compared to some of these guys. Slowly she began to take notes for him about what the others were suggestion and also things he was saying too, so he had a track of them. She just couldn't keep her eyes off him. This cold, harsh character, it made her fancy him even more! She wanted to do nothing more than bang her head on the desk repeatedly.

Once the meeting was over he smiled at her "You handled that well. If you can type that up for me when we get back to my office that would be great. We have a lunch meeting with another client later on and I want you to come with me, it's really important and I think we could use your help with it," he said as he walked back to the office. He sighed, he was finding it hard to just keep it strictly business. He was never like this, usually he could just be cold and ruthless to everyone but he felt different with her.

It felt as if all eyes on her and she really didn't like it, almost as if everyone knew their dirty little secret. Some of the older women, they were all looking down at her, it was obvious. She went back into their shared off and sat down in her plush leather seat, taking her jacket off, she scratched her shoulder nervously before starting to type out the notes. "Sebastian.. Mr Dean.. " she wasn't e tiredly sure what to call him. "You'd tell me if you weren't comfortable having me here wouldn't you?"

Seb smiled when she called him by his first name. Usually he made everyone call him Mr Dean but he liked hearing her say his name ''Sebastian, you can call me Sebastian.'' he said as he sat at his desk ''Of course, if I wasn't comfortable I would have said something when I first saw you,'' he said as he gave her a little smile. ''You know this is really weird.. I was planning on calling you tonight before you walked into my office,'' he said with a sigh. He logged onto his computer and threw himself into work.

Evangelines smile grew wider when he said that she could call him by his first name. It seemed a bit more civil and the room felt just a little bit warmer now that they were speaking a little bit more, but she was still just so nervous about their whole situation. "That's okay then.. I don't want you to just think of me as the weird drunk girl you slept with last night. I do work hard, I promise." Surprised about what he had said, she raised an eyebrow and turned he these to look at him, her perfectly manicured nails still tapping away at the keyboard. "Really? Well I think I would have probably been really happy if you had given me a call, so that's nice to know." She went back to her computer, humming softly with her angelic tone.

Sebastian smiled ''I know you work hard, Evangeline. I've seen your cv and it Is very, very impressive.. and you wouldn't be remembered as the drunk girl I slept with.. you would be remembered as the insanely gorgeous woman I slept with,'' he said with a wink. He sighed, he wasn't being like himself but he found himself wanting her to like him. ''I'm kind of gutted I can't give you that call now,'' he said with a little laugh before he went back to work, reminding himself he was a cold business man. He couldn't let her in.
