Character A and Character B have been together for a couple years now, they've known each other since high school but have only gotten together a couple of years ago. Character A finds that their relationship lacks passion, but still loves her. They all live in an apartment with Character C, who has been best friends with Character B for a few years now and is in love with her. Character C hates how Character B is treated and would do anything for her.

Character D has just moved in next door, one morning while heading out into town she bumps into Character A and is instantly attracted. Only to find out that Character A is seeing someone, they spent the day together because Character A just needs someone to talk to. They hit it off and both can feel the sparks, Character A has decided that he needs to end things with Character B.

Character A+C are male
Character B+D are female

Piper woke up with a shiver, she had forgotten to shut the window the previous night. She yawned as she got out of bed, stumbling over a couple of boxes. It had only been a couple of weeks since she had moved out from her parents place, but she had yet to find any enrgy to unpack her things. She grabbed a dress that was hanging up in her make-shift closet and slipped it on. She wasn't sure where she was going that day, but she was setting herself up for another adventure. She brushed her teeth and did her makeup - her hair still nicely curled from the day before. She grabbed her purse and stepped out her door, as she was locking up she noticed that her neighbor had just stepped out of his place as well. "Morning." She smiled as she walked towards the elevator, unaware that he was headed in the same direction as well.

Damon had been sitting at the table eating some breakfast when he witnessed their roomate Kilan try to sneak out without telling his girlfriend where he was going. He rolled his eyes, it was clear that he was not a fan of him, but he was nice so that he could live there. He didn't have to do much, just pay for a part of the rent, the only reason why he wasn't moving out was so he could see Eliza more often. "You know, one day she'll be fed up with you and leave you..." He paused to take a bite of cereal. "I won't tell her that I saw you leaving, but at the same time, I won't keep on covering for you. One day, she'll realize how awful you are and will move on." He sighed as Kilan left without saying a word. He kept on eating when he heard her come down the stairs. "Morning." He smiled trying not to bring up her boyfriend.

He didn't even try to stop himself from wondering.

Eliza had heard a door shut from all the way upstairs in her and Kilan's room. At first she thought it Damon leaving, but she turned to find Kilan not next to her, she felt a slight sadness. Where could he possibly be going, especially without even saying anything to me. She sighed. Hoping he was just getting something for breakfast. But she still had a sadness lingering inside her. She got out of bed not even bothering to change out of her pajamas which were a little more than revealing, but why should she bother she is not going anywhere today. She is just going to stay in the apartment and wonder where Kilan is. The only one downstairs in probably Damon and he is her best friend. She put her hair in a bun and headed down the stairs. She saw Damon look at her. Almost like he felt bad about something but she just shrugged it off. Knowing she isn't too good at reading people. "Good morning," she replied trying to hide how she was feeling.

"Why thank you." She tugged on her dress while he wasn't looking to accentuate her chest. She kinda laughed, was it really that noticable that she wasn't from around the area. "Oh. I'm from Chautauqua. It's a really small town." She laughed "Like really small...It's just like one long strip of road. And we all know one and the other there." She smiled, not really knowing why she was giving him her back story. He had just asked about where she was from. She couldn't help but look at him up and down, he was a stunner, she was starting to wonder why she had never seen him in the building prior. She was also starting to wonder where he was going, it was early in the morning and he wasn't necessarily dressed up in work attire. "So, obviously I'm new here, and I was wondering if you knew of a good place to grab coffee?" She wasn't asking him out, she just wanted to know where she could start her day.

Damon couldn't resist looking at her, god she was beautiful. And she deserved so much better than who she was dating, but she claimed that she was in love with him. "Morning...once again." He laughed, not even sure how to cheer her up. It may have been devastating, not knowing where her boyfriend was, the late nights...the phone calls. He sighed to himself "You sit...I will make you eggs and toast." He smiled, knwoing she had things on her mind. He walked over to her and hugged her, they were friends, so it wasn't weird for the two of them. "I'm soryr that Kilan keeps leaving, he really is a jerk. I don't know why you even put up with him, I mean you have so many other options." He was trying to hint at himself, but knew she wouldn't see him in that fashion. He let go from the hug and walked into the shared kitchen, grabbing out some pans to cook for her. "Do you work today? Do you want to do something?" He knew that she wasn't the spontanious person, but figured it would be nice to get her out of the house - to get her mind off of things.

"I will tell you on one condition," he teased. "I show you so I make sure you get there safely and you don't get lost. And after that I think I would deserve to sit down and have a drink with you after all that hard work you know," he smiled trying to convince her to let him go.

Eliza slightly smiled. No matter how upset she was, Damon found some way to make her feel better. Making her breakfast? He is so sweet. He is such a great friend. "I really appreciate you being here for me and supporting me. No I don't have to work today, " she was about to turn down the offer of doing something today. She wanted to wait for Kilan like she always does. But deep down inside she found away to convince herself that it would be a bad idea to do that. It would make her depressed and miserable all day. Sometimes she thinks Damon is right, that she deserves better, but who? If I don't even get attention and love from Kilan then why would anyone else love her? She sighed knowing if she stayed here those thought would rush through her mind and attack making her feel like shit all day. "What would you like to do today," she asked him slightly smiling.

She blurted out and suddenly covered her mouth after she had said it. "I didn't mean for it to sound rude...I'm just...curious."

Damon grinned when she mentioned her not having to work, oh the thoughts that were crossing his mind. He quickly shook his head to bring him back down to reality, he wasn't even sure what the two of them could do that day. He knew that going out in public would risk the two of them seeing Kilan and whatever he was doing. He grinned as he started to make her eggs. "Well, I know that you might say no...but why don't we just get into my car and drive." He smiled. "If Kilan can just get up and leave, why can't we?" He knew that she would say no, she wasn't a risk taker and liked to follow rules. She liked to be home for when Kilan got home, and made sure to have supper ready for him. She would certainly make a great wife one day, just not to him. He set a plate down in front of her and could tell she was pondering the idea. "I promise you I'll have you back in time...long before he gets back." Maybe this spontaneous trip could show her how much he was in love with her.

Eliza thought for a moment. She remembered one time Kilan came home from work and she had gone out with Damon as friends that night to celebrate his birthday. She did not think of it as a big deal. She made supper for Kilan every night. So that night she wanted to do something special for her best friend. She had never told Damon this for he left for a reason she could not remember. When she walked in the door Kilan began questioning her immediately. When she told him honestly that they went out to eat and for a few drinks he had freaked out. She saw that he had been drinking himself due to the open bottle of vodka. She tried to explain it was a harmless celebration but he yelled and called her names. He ended up carrying her up the stairs and into their room. Tossed her on the bed and told her to stay there for the remainder of the night, as if she was a child. They hadn't talked about it since, mainly because it was the only time it happened and he was drunk. She figured he probably had a bad day at work. That has been the reason she stays home. She never goes out with her friends. She saw in Damon's eyes that he really wanted her to go, so she reluctantly nodded her head, "Yes I will go," forcing a smile.

Of course he was asking her out on a date, part of her felt silly even asking what his intentions were. She laughed and then extended out her hand. "My name's Piper. And it's very nice to meet you."

Damon couldn't help but smile when she mentioned that she would go on a small road trip with him, he wasn't going to tell her but he had planned on staying overnight somewhere. He already had this all planned out in his mind, deep down, he knew it was wrong. He just needed to show her that she should dump Kilan and be with him. He started to clean the dishes, he didn't want to leave a mess for when Kilan got home, he knew how he could get sometimes. "Okay, well I'm just going to get changed and then I'll be right back and we can leave." He grinned as he walked up the stairs. From his room he grabbed a duffle bag and then packed a few of her clothes from her room, he then went to his room and packed himself a change of clothes. He threw on some shorts and a black vneck, he messed up his hair and headed downstairs. "Are you ready for an amazing day?" He asked as he moved close to her.

Just talking with her is a distraction. He did not realize that they were close to the café until she has asked, He opened the door for her and watched her walk in. They had chosen a seat in the far back near a window. He figured it would b appropriate for the first date to sit on opposite sides of the booth so he let her choose which side she preferred to sit on.

Eliza smiled, "It is a day way over due." She looked down at her outfit and realized she was still in her pajamas, "I should probably put a public friendly outfit on," she said and giggled a little at her own remark. When she saw Damon look at her with an amused look on her face she looked down feeling embarrassed, "Well I thought it was funny," she explained in a whiny voice. Eliza went to her room. She wanted to look nice so she grabbed her short baby blue dress and put it on. She couldn't zip it all the way up because she could not reach so she quickly brushed her hair, deciding to leave it down this time, she went back downstairs and called to Damon, "hey can you zip this up for me..?"

She smiled when someone came over and asked them what they wanted, she grabbed a iced coffin and a banana muffin. "Is this weird for you?" She asked, knowing that they had just met and were already on a date. "I mean, taking me out on a date..."

Damon couldn't help but blush when she came down, she looked stunning. God she was beautiful, he just wanted to make a move on her, he didn't care what Kalin would say. He moved her hair out of the way as he zipped up the back of her dress. He had to turn himself away from her before he actually made a move, or do something he would regret. While she had gone to change he had gotten the chance to sneak the overnight bag into the car, he wasn't sure if this plan was going to work or not...but he sure hoped so. "You look really pretty today." He smiled and then grabbed a couple of waters out from the fridge. "Do you need to do anything else before we go?" He was kind of looking at a map on his phone so he could plan where the two of them could go for the day. "If there anything specific you wanna do? Or just drive around?"

Eliza was not entirely sure what to do at this point. She had forgotten what a day out was even like, I mean they could catch a movie or go golfing but that didn't seem to fit the situation, "Thanks," she said after he zipped up the dress, she played with her hair as she thought, "Why am I so bad at making decisions?" she said and laughed. "I think a drive does sound good, but maybe we should have some sort of destination planned as well, how about we get some drinks, I could really use some drinks right now, that sounds pretty fun," she said with a smile now positive that is what she wants to do. She grabbed her purse of the counter making sure she had everything she needed, she smiled again now feeling excited to actually get out and do something, "I am ready to go."
