Ava laughed to herself. Katelyn's behavior was pathetic not to mention annoying and childlike. If she really wanted to become friends she'd try a little harder. Ava rolled her eyes before catching up with her teacher again. "I reckon your little talk with Katelyn didn't turn out well." she said, looking at her.
Ava shook her head, "Not one bit," she sighed, "I don't even know why I try hard enough to be friends with her when clearly she's the one who doesn't want anything to do with me."
"Give her time, Ava."
"I've given her plenty of time and chances, why does she still hate me?"
"She doesn't hate you, she's only intimidated by you. There's a difference."
"You're right, fine I'll give her more time. Thank you." She squeezed Ava's hand before returning to the rest of the class. Ava decided to explore the garden by herself, she needed some time alone.
