Megan's eyes widened as she realized the truth behind what he was saying. She was, in fact, carrying a king. Well, a prince that would later become a king. A vampire prince, nonetheless. "Oh my God.." she mumbled, placing a both hands on her stomach and holding it tightly. Now she would never be able to forget him. Not that she would have been able to forget Jace before, what if the 50% possibility that her child would be a vampire, whether it be completely or a half breed, she didn't know. And on top of that, he was vampire royalty. Who knew the duties he would have to face? And what would become of her? His mortal mother. Everyone would probably presume Prince Jace simply impregnated a mortal prostitute and this was the outcome. Their child would have to live out the shame. She didn't care much what people felt about Jace, thought. "How can you ask to turn me at his expense?" She asked, the anger returning to her face as she directed toward her stomach. "You don't even realize how selfish you're being.." Okay, now she'll admit it might be her pregnancy hormones acting up. But she still enjoyed watchin her venomous words tear up Jace. He deserved every drip of poison.
Aaron had to hold in his chuckle as Cassie rolled around on the king sized bed, swearing at him much like a teenager would if they were upset at their parents. But if he did chuckle that would only infuriate her more, rightfully so, of course. "Do you promise not to hurt yourself or our child if I run out to get you some tea?" When he earned what he'll assume is a nod from her, he slid out the door and back into the hallway. The castle was an astonishing hundred floors, give or take another hundred depending on how his mother was feeling that day. He tried to remember where the kitchen was, and realized it was on the fifth floor. So two floors up. He hoped, prayed, that he could get there and back without anyone noticing him. He wasn't quite ready to meet up with anyone just yet. He wanted him and Cassie to be on decent terms beforehand. As he made his way to the hallway and into the kitchen he was pleased to see that it was in fact empty. The cooks must have returned to their headquarters for the night, meaning that it was much later than he had predicted. He made his was toward one of the endless cabinets and pulled out a tea kettle and a bag of tea. He added water, set it on the stove, and waited patiently for it to begin to whistle. He tapped his fingers along the cold, granite countertop, thankful for being alone. Until he heard a low, hearty chuckle come from behind him. A voice he was certainly not ready to hear yet. "Why look who's here." Aaron quickly shot around and his eyes fell upon his worst nightmare. His fiance. Alyssandra.
