ivan chuckled at cole's comment that it was a mans smell. he looked at him when he talked about the girls. he laughed uneasily and nodded,"i know right.. they're all so gorgeous.." he commented though that was the opposite of his interest. he looked around a bit too see what they had,"when we get back we should check the bulletin for any party posters. there's always a party on the first night." he chuckled and got himself a tray then got a strawberry banana smoothie, a slice of pizza, a bag of chips and  some nachos. after paying for his items he walked to an empty table and sat down then picked up his pizza and took a large bite. he was starving since he hadn't ate basically since he left the house. he took his phone out and texted the guy back. he wasn't going to completely cut him out of his life but he wasn't going to let a relationship drag him down from having fun at college.

amara nodded and gave her a small smile."matt it is, so you're just down the hall," she stopped when they arrived at the canteen then turned to her and slid her hands in the pockets of her cardigan,"well this is it, so i'll catch you later. i'm going to go check out some other stuff," she said. matt looked like the complete party package, the opposite of amara. she took her glasses off and hung them on her shirt so she was able to pull her hair up in to the ponytail. she slid them back on then looked around. she's probably spend the night studying her schedule or doing something completely lame. anything the opposite of what a normal college student should be doing. it didn't bug her though partying wasn't her thing and probably would never be.

don't worry about it brah, i'm the same
~~

cole nodded, a small smirk slipping onto his lips. now that was more like it. he loved partying, although it took a lot for him to be intoxicated. he got a plate of fries with pizza and a bottle of coke, carrying them over to ivan once he had paid for it. he set the penny board down under the table so he could eat, picking up the pizza to finish that first. he pulled it away from his mouth after a bite, grinning a little as a large string of cheese pulled away with it. he looked across at ivan, as if to catch his reaction but he was instead looking under the table at his phone. he placed the pizza down and swallowed. he was itching to ask who he was texting but then he knew it would be nosy and they'd only just met. he wondered if it was a girlfriend and whether he'd just lost a potential wing man.

matt took out her phone once they arrived, sliding it open so that she looked busy once inside. she smiled at her and nodded. "thanks, i'll see you later." she walked off inside, her eyes down at the phone as she rolled through her timeline on twitter. she looked around at the little cliques already formed, her nose wrinkling in distaste since she felt above most of the people there. she looked back over her shoulder, hoping for amara to come crawling back to her because she was just as lonely. don't be ridiculous, you don't need anyone. She flipped her hair back over her shoulder and walked over to where the food and drinks were, eyeing each individual thing. it all looked greasy but when she spotted nachos with cheese, she almost felt like she was in heaven.

ivan slid his phone back in his pocket a few moments after cole sat down. he took another bite of his pizza."i can't wait to check out all the girls huh?" he asked and laughed softly, trying to sound convincing as possible. he'd faked being interested in girls in the past. he'd kiss them even though he found it so odd and felt nothing. he knew there was only so much he could hide from his room mate but it would do for now. he stuffed a hand full of nachos in his mouth then munched down on them. he looked around, checking out a few guys but tried not to make it too obvious. he sipped his smoothie then set it down and looked back at cole to hear his response. he rolled his head around, letting it crack on it's own. so far cole didn't seem to bad of a room mate, he wasn't annoying or an asshole.

amara smiled widely and watched her leave then turned on her feet and started walking. she slid her eat phones in to her ear then played some song from bastille. she wasn't one to linger where she felt she wasn't welcome. she looked around, realizing how big it actually was. she was also glad to know there was a mall near campus. she had a place to blow her money at when she felt stressed. she squealed inside when she saw the library and hurried over to it. she walked inside and looked around in amazement. she knew it made her look like a major nerd but reading was fun and people should appreciate books more. she walked to some nearby shelves and began checking them out.

cole laughed and nodded, picking up his bottle of coke to open it. "honestly, the first party will probably be a bit mental. i'm hoping to just get fucked and end up naked in a ditch somewhere with no recollection of the last couple hours." he paused before shrugging, as if that were pretty standard. he drank some of the coke and looked around again. the girls here didn't seem all that, none of them really standing out. he could see a gaggle of girls discussing the pair sat down though. however, with ivans body, he assumed they'd be on about him. he nudged his head over to them and grinned a little. "why don't you go and see what they're doing tonight?"

matt got the nachos and got a bottle of water along with it, standing for a moment as she looked around the canteen. her heart was beating quite fast at how alone she felt, which was odd. usually she was always accompanied by unwanted admirers. she hated them but at least she didn't look lonely. she set her face to stone again, taking one last sweep of the canteen. her eyes fell on ivan and her heart did a small little back flip. he was gorgeous with arms to die for. arms were one of her many weaknesses, veins making her weak at the knees. a small smile crept on her lips as she headed over, although she succeeded in wiping away the googly eyes before she reached their table. she glanced between the pair, her eyebrow raised a little as she asked. "mind if i sit?" her eyes were now firmly on ivan.

ivan laughed and munched on his pizza."amen," he said in massive agreement, but it wouldn't be easy to ask every what team he went for while he was drunk. he probably wouldn't do it sober either though so he probably wouldn't get much action during college. he would party though, hard. that's what was supposed to happen in college right? final step before the real world. he looked over at the girls,"yeah?" he raised his eyebrows and laughed again, uneasily. it would only look normal if he went over and got their numbers which they'd obviously agree to. he was about to stand up, hoping for anything to stop him but stayed seated when a girl came over."no of course, go ahead," he said, letting out a little sigh of relief. he assumed it rude to just get up and walk away after she sat down. he opened his bag of chips and alternated from eating pizza, nachos and chips. he had quite the appetite and wouldn't stop until there was no more food or someone stopped him. it was hard faking to be straight, so many precautions but he had no other choice. if word got to his parent's he'd be fucked. when he was in the eleventh grade the found the wrong gender of porn sites and they had a discussion, saying that it was just a phase. he smiled at the girl and held his hand out."im ivan, this here is cole,"

amara ran her hands across the books then stopped to pull one out. she read the back for the summary and grinned, seeing it looked great. her favorite were mystery and mature romance. she took her time picking out a few more then walked to the front counter and checked them out for two weeks. she placed them inside her satchel though the flap wouldn't close. she walked outside and continued walking until she came across a mini snack bar and asked for a frozen lemonade. she slid the bill on the counter though the woman walked away to make it for her. once she returned she took her drink in one hand and change in to the other before stuffing it in to her back pocket. she walked over to the grassy area and sat down slowly under a tree before she pulled one of her newly rented books out and turned to page one. she sipped on her lemonade while she began sipping on her lemonade.

cole instantly regretted telling him to when he heard his uneasy laugh - he'd be just as nervous walking up to a group of girls himself. at least girls on their own are happy to have some company while they reject your sexual offers. he was just as happy when matt suddenly appeared, her looks playing a part obviously. she was incredibly gorgeous and he grinned to himself, although it slipped into a 'bloody typical' smirk when she didn't even look cole's way, her eyes firmly planted on ivan. he nodded his head when ivan introduced him, the smirk growing wider when she acknowledged his presence for a mere second. he was used to being overshadowed by friends back home. he stood out in a more unusual way, with his messy hair, tattoos and gapped teeth. boys like ivan, with muscles and tans, tended to get a lot more attention. he didn't really care though, he was far too relaxed to get hung up on trivial matters like girls. he cleared his throat awkwardly and took another drink from his bottle, trying to look away and let them get on with it. he'd have to find a way out though. he leaned back slowly in the chair and looked up and down the canteen, trying to determine an escape route as he assumed ivan would want him out the way also.

matt smiled as she took her seat beside him. he was absolutely lovely and matt struggled taking her eyes off him. this was rare for her, she was so hard faced and yet her heart was actually skipping beats. she forced herself to look away briefly while she popped a nacho in her mouth, looking his way only when he spoke an introduction. she took his hand and shook it once, smiling at him again. "i'm matt." she glanced over at cole and nodded like he did, although her eyes quickly slipped back to ivan. she just couldn't resist. her hand dropped down as she reached for another nacho. "so, do you guys live local?" she said guys, but i think the whole table knew who the question was directed to.

ivan smiled widely at her shaking his hand, it's be pretty awkward to leave him hanging."pleasure to meet you, matt," he said. he loved her name, it was different. not a name every girl would have. he ran a hand through his hair then took another bite of his pizza. once it was all gone he started focusing on his nachos before she asked a question."not really. well i live three hours away, by the coast," he said and nodded. he never intentionally made a girl fall for him, he hated being a let down. he loved sports so of course it kept him in shape and his body was a temple. by the craze look in her eyes he knew she was under taken by his looks. he turned straight to face cole and kept his eyes on his food. eye contact was important and maybe if he didn't look at her she'd write him off as rude or something. he stuffed a few nachos in his mouth and chewed before he glanced at cole. then over at matt and smiled genuinely. he took a deep breath and sipped on his smoothie.

amara brought her knees to her chest and balanced her book on them, reading as steady as she could. after a few pages passed by she looked up and glanced around the area. people were still arriving and others like she was doing, exploring. who wouldn't leave their dorm and look at their new home. she set her plastic cup down on the grass. she didn't mind being alone to be honest. peace and quiet cleared her mind and helped her focus on her work. she soon moved to lay on her stomach and placed the book in front of her. she continued reading.
